Egbeda Egga is getting a much-needed upgrade! Rep. Salman Idris, the Federal House of Representatives member for Kabba-Bunu/Ijumu, has officially flagged off the construction of the 0.5km Apole Road. The project is a welcome development for the community, who have been waiting for this promise to be fulfilled.
Ijumu LGA Chairman, Hon. Haruna Ibrahim, praised Rep. Salman for choosing a long-term investment over short-term handouts. “He could have shared cash with a few people, but he chose a lasting, multi-million naira road that benefits everyone,” Haruna said.
This project is a direct result of a promise Rep. Salman made during the last Egbeda Egga Day celebration. The community leaders, including the Obaro of Egbeda Egga, Oba Noah Olumide Obademi, and the Egbeda Egga Development Union President, Dr. Emmanuel Dare Otitolaye, expressed their gratitude and pledged their continued support.
This is a clear example of a representative delivering on his word, and the community is ready to see the impact of this new road.
