In a decisive move to curb insecurity, the Executive Chairman of Ijumu Local Government Area, Alhaji Ibrahim Haruna, has launched a joint security operation along the Kabba–Ayere–Ihima corridor. The initiative brought together personnel from the Nigerian Army, Police, and local vigilante groups.
The operation successfully led to the arrest of nine suspects reportedly linked to recent kidnapping incidents in the area. Following the arrests, security agencies have restored order, and movement along the road is now smooth.
Alhaji Haruna emphasized his unwavering commitment to peace and the protection of lives and property across Ijumu, promising continued collaboration with security agencies to ensure the safety of residents.
