Kogi State University Kabba: PRO Highlights Rapid Transformation

The Public Relations Officer of Kogi State University, Kabba (KSUK) has described the pace of development around the university as nothing short of remarkable. According to him, the influx of developers and land buyers — including investors from outside the country — is a clear sign of Kabba’s rapid growth.

He stressed, however, that while student hostels are springing up everywhere, there is a greater need for staff-friendly, family-grade apartments.

“We already have an oversupply of student buildings, but workers whose families live in places like Obajana, Okene, and Iluhagba would love to settle here — and they deserve better housing,” he noted.

To bridge this gap, he urged developers to prioritize building two-bedroom flats and similar accommodations that would serve staff and their families.

The PRO concluded by appreciating the Kogi State Government for establishing the university, describing it as the bedrock of the transformation currently reshaping Kabba and its surroundings.
