Kabba, Kogi State — The Executive Chairman of Kabba/Bunu Local Government Area, Hon. (Barr.) Zacchaeus Dare Michael, has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to ensuring equitable development across all communities in Bunu land, promising that every district will feel the impact of good governance.
The Chairman made this known on Monday when he hosted the leadership of the Bunu Development Association (BDA), who paid him a courtesy visit at his office in Kabba. The visit was led by Pastor Kolawole Johnson, JP, President of the association, accompanied by other executive members including the Vice President I, General Secretary, and Public Relations Officer.
According to a statement released by Omofa John, Chief Press Secretary to the Chairman, Hon. Zacchaeus described the visit as “a defining moment”, noting that it was both emotional and inspiring for him.
Commitment to Inclusive Growth
Responding to issues raised by the BDA President, Hon. Zacchaeus commended the association for its advocacy on community development, assuring that his administration is focused on laying a solid foundation for sustainable infrastructural growth.
“No part of Kabba/Bunu will be left behind in our development agenda,” he said. “We are committed to inclusive governance, grassroots participation, and policies that unite our people and drive real progress.”
He highlighted ongoing interventions under his “Restoration Agenda”, which include projects and initiatives in infrastructure, healthcare, education, and security.
The Chairman also commended the courage, sincerity, and patriotism of Bunu elders and expressed appreciation to the BDA for its consistent efforts in promoting unity, peace, and development across the local government area.
BDA Commends Chairman’s Leadership
In his remarks, the President of the Bunu Development Association, Pastor Kolawole Johnson, JP, acknowledged the Chairman’s commitment to community development and expressed confidence in his leadership.
“We believe in his vision, his leadership, and his unwavering commitment to building a brighter future for our people,” Pastor Kolawole said.
He reaffirmed the association’s readiness to continue working with the local government to ensure that Bunu district remains an integral part of the area’s development agenda.
